#How the integration works

Create an API token in the Cloudflare dashboard — ideally scoped to DNS edit permissions on just the zones you want Rocketeers to manage. Add the token and Rocketeers takes over record housekeeping: pointing new sites at their servers, updating records when a site moves and adding the verification records other services need. Your zones, nameservers and Cloudflare plan stay exactly as they are.

#Good to know

• The free Cloudflare plan is fully sufficient — automatic DNS management doesn't require any paid tier.
• Scoped API tokens beat the legacy Global API Key: they're limited, auditable and revocable without side effects.
• Records can be proxied (orange cloud) or DNS-only (grey cloud). Proxying adds CDN and protection but routes traffic through Cloudflare — choose per record.
• Cloudflare's API allows 1,200 requests per five minutes per user, which routine DNS automation won't get anywhere near.
