NameCheap
Affordable domains, connected automatically.
Namecheap manages tens of millions of domains and built its reputation on two things: honest pricing and free WHOIS privacy on practically every domain it registers. It supports hundreds of TLDs, from .com to the newest endings. Connect your Namecheap account to Rocketeers and your domains link to your sites without copying records between browser tabs.
What you get with NameCheap
- Your existing Namecheap domains connected to your sites in moments.
- Hundreds of TLDs at consistently fair prices — including renewals that don't ambush you in year two.
- Free WHOIS privacy on eligible domains keeps your personal details out of the public record.
- DNS wired up by Rocketeers, so domains point at the right server from the start.
- One place to see which domain serves which site.
How the integration works
Enable API access in your Namecheap account (Profile → Tools → API access), whitelist the IP addresses that will make the calls, and add your API key to Rocketeers. Rocketeers then handles the domain plumbing — pointing domains at your servers and managing the host records that connect a domain to a site — while registration, renewals and billing stay in your Namecheap account.
Good to know
- Namecheap gates API access behind account requirements: at the time of writing you need at least 20 domains, a $50 account balance or $50 spent in the last two years. Check their current criteria.
- The API requires IP whitelisting, so access is locked to known addresses — a security feature worth having.
- Domains using Namecheap's own BasicDNS can be managed directly; domains delegated to third-party nameservers are managed wherever their DNS actually lives.
- Watch promotional first-year pricing on some TLDs — the renewal price is the number that matters long-term.
