Postmark

Fast, reliable transactional email.

  1. What you get with Postmark
  2. How the integration works
  3. Good to know

Postmark is obsessive about one metric: how fast transactional email reaches the inbox. It publishes its delivery times publicly, keeps transactional and bulk traffic on separate streams so marketing blasts never drag down your password resets, and gives you 45 days of full message history for debugging. Bring your server token and Rocketeers handles the domain setup, so receipts and notifications flow reliably from the start.

What you get with Postmark

  • Industry-leading delivery speed for the email your users are actively waiting on.
  • Strict separation of transactional and broadcast streams protects your sender reputation.
  • Sending domains verified with DKIM and Return-Path records configured by Rocketeers.
  • 45 days of searchable message history for painless debugging.
  • Publicly published delivery-time stats, so you can hold your email provider to its numbers.

How the integration works

Postmark organises sending into servers, each with its own token. Create a server for your project, add the token to Rocketeers, and it sets up the sender signature or sending domain along with the DNS records verification needs — DKIM and a custom Return-Path. Where Rocketeers manages your DNS these records appear automatically; otherwise you get the exact values to paste in. Verified domains start sending immediately.

Good to know

  • Postmark is strictly transactional-first: bulk or marketing mail belongs on broadcast message streams, and mixing it into transactional streams breaks their policy.
  • Domain verification through DKIM removes the per-address confirmation dance — verify the domain once and send from any address on it.
  • Pricing is per-email in monthly volume tiers, with a small free monthly allowance to develop against.
  • Message activity retention is 45 days on standard plans — export anything you need to keep longer.
